I was recently commissioned to photograph South Hill Farm’s Fun Day in Ingatestone, Essex. This is one area of photography that I hadn’t experienced upto now so I relished this challenge. The weather was kind and I spent several hours in the arena with these beautiful creatures and their fearless riders.

The day started early with the ballet like Dressage Competition

Next there were several classes of Showjumping. This was a great form of exercise for me jogging between jumps without distracting horse and rider to catch the best action shots.

I did capture a few falls and spills, ironically the riders love these shots as much as the action ones – go figure …….

The final event was ‘Chase Me Charlie’, I can honestly say I was a nervous wreck ! It’s a knock-out high jump competition for horses and boy was it high. Emily was the overall winner.

How do you make your party that little bit different ? Have a Photo Booth set up for you & your guests to let their hair down and play up to the camera just like Melanie & Sheila did. We got every single guest in front of the camera – here’s a slimmed down version of the evening

I LOVE how the party Photo Booth is growing in popularity – it’s the ideal way to capture your guests with a nice portrait or a mad moment. I like how they generally start quiet reserved and gradually spill over into total madness with props flying. By the end of the evening even the ‘I’m having none of that nonsense’ men get in on the act !

Carlyjo celebrated her 30th birthday last saturday with family and friends – I had the camera in my hand for three hours solid so I’m guessing the Photo Booth was another hit.

Photo Booth fun isn’t just for birthday parties, they are great for wedding receptions, school prom, family reunion, farewell function, engagement, or just about any other event you want to remember.

I couldn’t resist putting together┬áthese images on Carlyjo’s beautiful daughter Gracie
