Garden Make-Over

I wonder why it is anything we attempt around the home is never straight forward ?  Never goes to plan, never is right first time and never runs to time !!!  Our little garden was wrecked when we had the extension built in 2008 so top of the agenda for 2009 was a garden make-over.  It was designed in July but work couldn’t start until November and was scheduled to take 4-5 weeks.

Then we have 22 days of rain in November (far wetter than normal) followed by the coldest and wettest December for a decade.  January and February were not much better and things really ground to a halt.  Thankfully it is finally finished (with the exception of the planting) and only took four months and seven days (just three months late)

NOT Mine on Monday

This is not a regular ‘Mine on Monday’ post however I did love the Canon 5d like one of my children. I bought my first in 2006 and it was working with the full frame 12mp beauty that elevated my photography to another level.  When I decided to sell my third and final 5d body I had to find someone that would cherish it as much as I did and as Lesley already had one I offered it to Helen. She was actually the last person to use it when Helen assisted me at my last wedding of 2009 and I knew she loved it then. Wow that was the quickest response ever ! She is now the proud owner of this awesome piece of kit which will come in very handy as she is expecting her first baby soon :) I felt a little sad packing it up but I knew it was going to a very good home.
