Design / Photography Workshop

I was teaching at Creative Pastimes again yesterday & met another amazing bunch of people.  The design class was buzzing with a mix of new & experienced scrappers but the icing on the cake was the photography session.  It is such a high when you see the look on someones face when it "clicks" and they realise they can use their camera on the manual setting.  Remember guys……….. step away from the flash LOL

Working Out

I joined a Fitness First Gym near work on 1st March as we had booked our family holiday and the thought on putting on swimming costume was terrifying.  I started going a couple of times a week but soon got bored so decided to try some classes !  I tried a spinning class and nearly died it was horrid and I was in agony for days and didn’t go back to the gym for over a week.  Next I tried LBT, which I sort of managed to keep up with but again was in pain for days.  Felt brave and went back the following week but this time it was less painful.  The LBT instructor Michelle is a personal trainer so after talking to her I decided to book a course of PT sessions.  I’ve now been working with her once or twice a week for six weeks now and have lost half a stone & can do those waistbands up.  I also work out at home twice a week using a programme Michelle designed for me and I am really starting to enjoy it.  I took the compact camera into the gym this week & one of the staff took some action shots (more in gallery).  It makes such a difference working with a trainer, its more fun and you get great results.

New Location

Found this fab location while driving around recently , its an alley behind a row of derelict shops – bummer is it will be bulldozed in a couple of weeks.  While we were there for a family shoot a security guy came along to check us out.  I told him I thought it was the prefect backdrop and you could see it written all over his face – he thought I was a total nutter.  It was around 7pm so the light was a challenge but I was pleased with the end result and the boys had a blast exploring so they didn’t mind me snapping away for once.
