First Holy Communion Photography

I recently photographed Holly as she celebrated her First Holy Communion

She really loved her dress and I’m not surprised because she looked absolutely beautiful in it.

She brought along her two very best friends to have a bit of fun in front of the camera and they loved every minute of it

Birthday Boy

My baby boy is 11 today but instead of having a special day eating lots of yummy cake and going karting he spent most of it with his head down the toilet ! Poor Theo

No photos to mark the day so I dug out this picture from his 1st birthday.

I made this little video to try and cheer him up when he is feeling a little better – Happy Birthday darling

Are you looking for a photography experience like no other ? I’m really excited to announce that Bootcamp 20ten, my second 100% dedicated photography weekend will take place in Northampton Friday 28 – Sunday 30 May 2010 !!!

WHAT IS IT?

Photography Bootcamp is completely focussed on creating stunning pictures in any environment. I will demonstrate shooting in a wide variety of everyday situations and give specific techniques how to walk away with gorgeous images every time. Working in perfect lighting conditions to absolutely pants light ! You will shoot alongside me with real models in real world locations as well as a studio set-up. Yes, that’s right you will get to play with studio lighting. After the shoot I will show you my workflow and share my top secret post production techniques. In addition to having an action-packed schedule, there will be ample time to answer all of your burning questions. This workshop is loaded with all the technical, creative, artistic inspiration you can handle! There will be specific “Basic Training” for 20ten Recruits and “Special Ops” for 2009 Veterans

DSLR owners only I’m afraid, that are serious about improving their photography or considering a future career behind the lens

HOW MANY?

I strongly believe in the importance of providing personal attention to all my Bootcamp attendees so the weekend is limited to 30 photographers. We will have a fully equipped studio, classroom set-up with projection screen plus conservatory relaxation area.

HOW MUCH?

The weekend fee is only £385 per person. This includes instruction & inspiration, extensive workbook, accommodation, use of spa facilities, dinner on Friday, breakfast lunch & dinner Saturday and breakfast & lunch Sunday.

A deposit of £25 will secure your place with four additional payments of £90 due 30 January, 27 February, 31 March & 30 April 2010

Models – Personal Project

I had planned for a location model shoot with some of the girls from Ethan’s school for Saturday morning, of course the weather is always a major factor on these occasions and it didn’t disappoint ! We had thunder, lightning and gale force winds Fortunately I have the studio to fall back on but it has its limitations but with some slight modifications we transferred most of my ideas to digital media.

ScrapaGoGo Retreat – Event Photography

You would never think these lovely ladies were a little nervous at the start of their sessions but as we eased into it they relaxed and worked the camera ! It was great to see old friends at the ScrapaGoGo Retreat and actually meet in person more graduates of my online photography workshops

As scrapbookers and keen photographers their camera’s are never far away; these are some of the action shots with the actual picture I took – thanks Angie and Rachael.

Wedding Anniversary

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary, just me, Brian & Elvis in the Little White Chapel, Las Vegas. While I loved our fun wedding experience I was devastated by the quality of the photos from the ‘in house’ photographer While we were there we said we’d go back for your 10th anniversary, maybe this time we can hire a proper photog to record our anniversary.
